    ESSAY CONTEST FOR 5TH-8TH GRADE GIRLS ON BREAKING BARRIERS
     
    Smith & Kraus Publishers of Lyme, New Hampshire, announce the Matty Trescott Essay Contest for girls in grades 5 through 8.   The theme of the essay contest is Breaking Barriers for Women. The publishers and authors decided it was important to provide the opportunity for young women to understand that there are still barriers to be broken, and that they can be heroines in their own lives and the lives of others.   The contest requires an entrant to write a 500 word essay that describes how she has broken barriers or intends to break barriers in her own life. All applicants must have a sponsoring teacher. A Grand Prize of $1000 is offered to the student with the winning essay, with $250 to the sponsoring teacher.

    ESSAY CONTEST FOR 5TH-8TH GRADE GIRLS ON BREAKING BARRIERS
     
    Smith & Kraus Publishers of Lyme, New Hampshire, announce the Matty Trescott Essay Contest for girls in grades 5 through 8.   The theme of the essay contest is Breaking Barriers for Women. The publishers and authors decided it was important to provide the opportunity for young women to understand that there are still barriers to be broken, and that they can be heroines in their own lives and the lives of others.   The contest requires an entrant to write a 500 word essay that describes how she has broken barriers or intends to break barriers in her own life. All applicants must have a sponsoring teacher. A Grand Prize of $1000 is offered to the student with the winning essay, with $250 to the sponsoring teacher.
