Ms. Betty Riley, a 9TH grade English teacher at Caldwell Freshman Academy, was awarded a classroom grant for $500 from Northwest Professional Educators (NWPE), the state’s only non-union professional teacher association, at a recent staff meeting.  The grant will fund a multimedia projector to enhance student achievement through incorporation of all three learning modalities.  The award was presented by Kim Hunter for NWPE.

Females, on the other hand, show the greatest learning through auditory systems.  This projector will enable all students to use their preferred mode of learning to maximize their success.”

“Northwest Professional Educators is happy to provide Ms. Riley this grant to enhance student learning,” said Cindy Omlin, Executive Director of NWPE.  “NWPE is proud to reward educators for their hard work and creativity in the classroom.  Ms. Riley’s award is certainly well-deserved as she seeks ways to increase student achievement.”
