NWPE and The Village Charter School to Kick of National School Choice Week |

A local charter school community will kick off National School Choice Week 2015 with coffee, doughnuts, and comments from education leaders. Participants will make posters with personal statements about why choice is important to them.
“So many families benefit from education options in Idaho every day,” said Brenda Miller, Regional Director of Northwest Professional Educators. “We’re glad to bring some of them together to celebrate the difference school choice is making for children.”
The event will take place at The Village Charter School on January 26, 2015 at 7:15 a.m.
Northwest Professional Educators, planner of the “Coffee Kickoff,” advances teacher choice in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon by providing an inexpensive, nonpartisan teacher union alternative for professional benefits such as liability insurance, legal services, professional development, grants and scholarships and a nonpartisan voice on education issues.
National School Choice Week (January 25 – 31, 2015) will be America’s largest-ever celebration of opportunity in education. Featuring more than 11,000 independently-organized events across all 50 states, the Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for children National School Choice Week is independent, nonpolitical, and nonpartisan, and embraces all types of educational choice – from traditional public schools to public charter schools, magnet schools, online learning, private schools, and homeschooling.
