kelsey margulieux and principal captionedMs. Margulieux commented in her application that these materials will help the Robotic Team's web design group, facilitate the robot's build phase and help the Team communicate with the community, middle schools, and the local FIRST Lego League teams about the Robotics Teams.  They will also be used by students to make the Safety Animation Video and recruiting videos to share with potential students.

“Northwest Professional Educators is happy to provide Ms. Margulieux this grant to enhance student learning,” said Cindy Omlin, Executive Director of NWPE.  “NWPE is proud to reward educators for their hard work and creativity in the classroom.  Ms. Margulieux’ award is certainly well-deserved as she seeks ways to increase student achievement.”

NWPE awards $500 teacher scholarships and classroom grants twice a year. Teachers who are new to the profession or their classroom are also eligible for $250 New Classroom Start-Up Grants.  All educators are eligible for the awards although NWPE members receive first preference.  The next application deadline is October 31, 2011.
