posted by: Cindy Omlin | November 29, 2012, 07:36 PM

As the organization's flagship initiative, the event brings together the best and brightest experts from around the world to share strategies to improve the quality of education for all children, everywhere. This one-stop shop of policies and practices offers an opportunity for lawmakers, policymakers and advocates to learn the latest on education reform.

The 2012 agenda covers a wide range of topics, including holding schools accountable for learning, incentivizing student achievement, using technology to customize learning, recruiting and retaining the best teachers, reporting the quality of education, and expanding choices for parents and students.

Guided by the principle that all children can learn, sessions and workgroups will convene to share best practices and highlight successful initiatives. The Foundation for Excellence's mission is to ignite a movement of reform state by state to transform education for the 21st century. Their vision is an education system that maximizes every student's potential for learning and prepares all students for success in the 21st century.

AAE staff members are pleased to be in attendance to share member voices with different stakeholders. Stay tuned to the AAE blog for more information on the latest developments from the conference.
