Mr. George is one of four teachers who will represent Idaho in the National Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching program. One of them will be designated as the best science teacher in Idaho. If Mr. George receives the National Presidential nod, he will receive “$10,000 from the National Science Foundation as well as a trip to Washington, D.C., for a series of award ceremonies and events, professional development activities and discussion with national policy makers on how to improve science and math education.” To learn more about this phenomenal teacher whose motto is, “I used to be afraid of failing at the things that really mattered to me, but now I am more afraid of succeeding at the things that don’t matter,” check out his school profile posted here.
