The conference will provide her time with an expert to explore new software and apps in a lab environment so that when she returns to the classroom she will be equipped with skills and knowledge that she can readily incorporate into her lesson plans.

While the conference will aid Ms. King’s personal professionalism, she also has ideas to improve the professionalism of educators as a whole, namely, high standards and accountability.  “The best way to raise the professionalism of teaching is the establishment of high standards by administrators and college professors. When the bar is set high and the expectations are clear, most will rise to the occasion. Those who do not act in a professional manner should be reprimanded.”

A member of NWPE for five years, Ms. King joined NWPE for its positivity and professionalism as well as for the security of NWPE’s superior liability coverage, legal services, and professional support.

Ms. King’s award is well-deserved as she seeks ways to increase student achievement and her own professional development.  We wish her a great conference and thank her for the extra efforts she takes on behalf of her students.
