They are invited to Washington, DC, for an awards ceremony as well educational and celebratory events and visits with members of the Administration. Mr. George served on the team of teachers, scientists and education stakeholders who helped develop a new set of science standards for Idaho, approval of which has been delayed by the Idaho legislature. He also received received the Governor's Industry Award for Notable Teaching in STEM. Mr. George, who has a background in kinesiology and biological science, is now advancing Vision Charter School's new CrossFit dual credit program, Idaho's first and only non-profit CrossFit school affiliate. Having recently passed his CrossFit Level 1 coaching course, he is able to help students learn to exercise in a mechanically safe and consistent manner. Learn more at his Donors Choose project page.
