Andrea McDougall Awarded New Classroom Grant to Advance Student Learning

Congratulations to Andrea McDougall, a math and geometry teacher at Century High School in Pocatello, ID.  Ms. McDougall has been awarded a $250 New Classroom Start Up Grant to purchase classroom materials and equipment to advance student learning within an integrated math instruction curriculum.

andrea mcdougall 2017Andrea is an eight year member of NWPE.  She notes that, “History has shown that unions were a great force to improve the working environment. Now I think that the unions have become a rich and powerful political agency which has moved too far away from the original purpose. A powerful union wants to tell the members how to think and vote in a free society.  I want an organization that supports me in teaching so students can learn. I find that with the Northwest Professional Educators organization. I like the newsletter and I feel confident at work with all the support offered.”

We’re proud to provide Ms. McDougall with a professional association that meets her needs and philosophy as an educator.  Congratulations again to this talented math teacher!
