It is a team-based process for systemic problem solving and planning.  Research has found that schools implementing PBIS see decreased exclusionary, reactive and punitive discipline practices, increased student satisfaction, and improved perceptions of school safety. In short, when schools are safer, students are more successful.

Michelle’s dedication to advancing her professionalism is evident in her scholarship application, “Continued training of cutting edge, research based strategies are the key to raising the professionalism of teaching as a career. If we don't flex and grow with the needs of our community, we will not be as successful educating our students as we can be.”

Michelle is a recent member of Northwest Professional Educators.  After considering NWPE benefits, she decided it was a great fit for her.  “I joined NWPE for the philosophy, mission, education and professional protection.”

Congratulations to Ms. Daly.  Her award is certainly well-deserved as she seeks ways to increase student achievement. Northwest Professional Educators is proud to reward educators for their hard work and creativity in the classroom.
