Available Awards
Grants are available for up to $500. Grants are competitive. Not all who apply will receive funding. If you would like to donate funds so that we can provide more awards, please do so on our donation page.

Classroom Grant Funding Options
Classroom grants can be used for a variety of projects and materials including, but not limited to, books, software, calculators, math manipulatives, art supplies, audio-visual equipment, and lab materials. Funds must be used within one year of the application deadline.

Eligibility

 

Classroom grants are available to all educators in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, who have not received a scholarship or grant from NWPE in the last two years. NWPE members receive additional weight in the scoring rubric. Join NWPE today

This part of the application will scored blind. As you answer the question, please avoid personal information that could be used to identify you, your students, or your school.

Questions:
  1. Provide an overview of the project or program that you are hoping to complete in your classroom should you be awarded the materials you are applying for. (100 words)
  2. In a 2-column table, list the items you want to purchase and their approximate cost. Include a total cost at the bottom of the table. Please remember, we will only reimburse a maximum of $500.
  3. Describe in detail what led you to seek funding. Include information about the specific need of your students, class, school, and/or community. Also include if you considered any research (100 words).
  4. Describe in detail how the program, project, or materials will be used and implemented. Include information on lessons, unit overviews, additional people involved and timelines as necessary (100 words).
  5. Describe in detail the impact that the purchased materials will have on your students, school, or community. Include information on specific benefits you hope to see and how you will be able to judge your own success (100 words).
