Ms. Klure has served in a variety of education roles. Prior to this school year she taught elementary school for 6 years and then substituted after the birth of her son. She also worked as an Educational Assistant in her current school. She looks at each day as a fresh start. “I learn from the mistakes of yesterday and make new mistakes so I can be a better teacher tomorrow. Watching my students develop and mature academically and socially inspires me to come to work every day. I am growing as a person right beside my students. We have so much to learn from each other.” As a new second grade teacher, Ms. Klure feels that her biggest challenge is covering all the curriculum expected to be mastered by her students. “I am re-evaluating my pacing and lesson delivery methods each day so that I can make sure to maximize the concepts I am teaching to my students. I want to make sure I am teaching in a way that they can achieve mastery.” After so many years without a professional educators association to call home, NWPE is privileged to have earned Ms. Klure’s membership and trust. Congratulations again to a dedicated teacher!
