Congratulations to NWPE member Beth Richtsmeier, a teacher at Meridian Technical Charter School in Meridian, Idaho. Three of her students were recently featured in Idaho Education News for developing an innovative web program that tracks the daily physical activities of legislators.
The project was in response to the Mt. Everest Challenge which was launched by the High Five Children's Health Collaborative, a project of Blue Cross of Idaho. It challenges legislators to get healthier while helping a local school. The top three legislators will be awarded $5,000 to give to an elementary school to purchase activity equipment.
